Project awarded further funding

Playing A/Part was awarded follow-on funding by the AHRC to extend the work completed in the original project. The project aims to extend the demographic of participants by developing an online programme of creative resources for both home educated, and school educated autistic and neurodivergent young people (aged 11 – 16) of all genders. A team of neurodivergent and learning-disabled young actors will be recruited to be the face of the project and record all the online materials. Feedback will be given on the resources by a group of neurodivergent young people both being educated at school and home. In addition to this, the project will consult a specialist focus group of autistic young people with a Young Person’s Advisory Group (YPAG), which will include representatives from our partner school, Limpsfield Grange School, and home educated networks.

The six smart scripts that will be developed include ones from the original project and three new one:

  • My Creative Space
  • Masks and Shields
  • My Action Art
  • Music and Me
  • Moving Me
  • The World Around Me/My Places
