We look forward to welcoming you to our conference.
Please find at the bottom of this page a schedule of the event, as well as further posts relating to conference FAQ (also containing information on accommodation and travel); accessibility information; and more.
Note that registration will be from 10am – 10:30am on each day. This is located in the Grimond Foyer and is the building (The Grimond) which all of the conference events will take place. We have attached a map of the campus and Grimond building is labelled as J6. Please note that in addition to the spaces used for the conference presentations, we also have two rooms (Grimond Room 5 and 6 [GS5 and GS6]) which will be available to those delegates who would like some time out (a quiet room) or would prefer to be away from the main theatre space.
Tickets are still available for The Duck and information about the show and tickets purchases can be found here.
Before you arrive
We are trying to reduce our environmental impact and so will only be providing paper copies of the schedule to those who ask. These are all available via the free event app from http://eventsxd.com/download.
HOW THE EVENT APP WORKS
Go to EventsXD http://eventsxd.com/download
Search “Inside Out Conference 2019” (this will always be found under “My” once you have done this), here you can keep track of the sessions via “schedule”.
- A map to the Grimond building the University of Kent Campus (where the conference is being held) on can be found under “Floor Plans”, as can a carparking map, and floor plan/s for the exhibition spaces.
- Speaker details, bios, and abstracts can be found under “Speakers”, as can poster and artefact contributor details
The conference is held at the University of Kent and the campus is a short distance from Canterbury city centre. Details for how to get to the University can be found here.
Refreshments and Food
We are providing tea and coffee in the breaks and lunch on each day. However, there are also drink and food outlets on campus. The nearest cafes to the conference venue are the Gulbenkian Café (located in the Gulbenkian and labelled J10 on the map) and the Library Café (located in the Templeman library and labelled J11 on the map). There is also a campus shop, Essentials and a Café Nero (this is in the building marked J14).
For evening meals, we can recommend The Gulbenkian on campus (see here for menu – please note that this serves until 8pm.
Wi-Fi is available across the campus and visitors can access this via ‘The Cloud’. Details of this can be found here.
We are encouraging people to join in the conversation on social media and particularly on Twitter. Please tweet @PlayingA_Part and use the hashtags #InsideOutAutism #PlayingAPart.
We look forward to see you at the conference and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on email@example.com.
