About

I have a background in professional theatre as a designer and maker, and I am a Senior Lecturer in Drama at the University of Kent. My interests are contemporary performance, puppetry, and applied theatre. My publications include, a monograph on the theatre of the Bauhaus (2011) and articles on scenography, applied theatre and puppetry.
I was Co-Investigator on the AHRC project ‘Imagining Autism’ (2011-2014) leading the creative practice and public engagement. For the Playing A/Part project I will play a similar role, contributing my experience in puppetry and theatre making. As the lead for the “Changing Faces” theme I will be responsible for ensuring the project transforms understanding of autism to include girls and women.
