I have extensive experience of the arts, leisure and community sectors, having worked with a variety of high-profile partners creating multifaceted project portfolios.
My background is in performance, having worked as a dancer and actress. I completed an HND in Performing Arts in the Community and also have an MA in Education from Goldsmiths. Having participated in the TAP programme (Teacher Artist Partnership), an action research project enabling teachers and artists to work together in a reflective framework, I gained experience of primary school children with emotional behaviour disorder (EBD). My experience also includes my work as a trustee for the Canterbury and District Early Years Project and I am part of the Community and Engagement Committee at Westgate Hall Canterbury. I relocated to Canterbury in March 2016 with my family and young daughter, having spent 19 years living and working in the diverse communities of East London developing and leading creative arts and media projects for a wide range of client groups.
